My FAV Mauritian STREET FOOD





One of my first stops when I arrive home in Mauritius...




This is what I've been dreaming about eating all year. It's my secret craving. :) No-one but a Mauritian would understand!




The DHOLL PURI.
This street food is made from crushed yellow split peas rolled into a sort of savory pancake and served with various assorted sauces and curries.





First bite...........




OH SOOOO DELICIOUS!!

  4. Mauritian called it Dholl pouri or Dholl puri. Dewa dholl puri is the best on the island. yummy

  6. I love your blog. I have a friend from Mauritius who wants to test out some Mauritius and Africian food receipes on me. Hahaha. I haven't tried anything but it properly not as good as what you can find on the streets in Mauritius.

  8. Only a Mauritian indeed has feelings like that for our street foods....we long for the memories of our childhood in our dream island....and the food is so delicious too!...I have been away for a number of years now but my heart is always with my little island in the sun....forever Mauritian:)
