Hammock Heaven

A lot of my afternoons at home in mauritius over the holiday were spent in this hammock.

I brought it back from one of my trips to Tulum, Mexico when I was shooting with the Calypso team. Love them! :)

What pure bliss... Under a coconut tree, with a cup of fresh citronella, hearing the lap of the ocean, and reading my new book on Marylin Monroe.

I will miss it!!

Headed to back to NY next week, I hear it's -9°C... HELP!!

One of my first stops when I arrive home in Mauritius...

This is what I've been dreaming about eating all year. It's my secret craving. :) No-one but a Mauritian would understand!

This street food is made from crushed yellow split peas rolled into a sort of savory pancake and served with various assorted sauces and curries.

First bite...........

Yesterday is soooo last year !!

The last 30 Seconds To Mars Concerts NYC

It's a sad time!

After two and a half years of non-stop touring the globe, 30 Seconds To Mars are ending their journey in New York with a bang.

After a long time friendship with the band's lead singer, (girls don't be jealous) I have been to many shows around the world and I must say that these last two shows i went to see in NY were very special.

The band set the Guinness World Record for “Longest Concert Tour by a Rock Band”. They performed for over two years at over three hundred shows in support of their third studio album: This Is War. It was released in 2009 and has sold over 1.5 million albums and 1 million singles worldwide. Yay!

The handing over of the certificate was done during one of the final concerts at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Friday December 7th in New York City.

I'm sure that this isn't the end though. But they sure do need a well deserved rest for now!!!

The last show on December 9th was CHURCH OF MARS : MARS FOR HAITI night at St Peter’s of Chelsea with 100% of the proceeds going to aid those in Haiti who are still suffering from the devastating earthquake.
